The editioned version of this lithograph was printed in black.  This image, showing a woodcutter offering a flower to a baby whilst the mother looks on, behind a war torn landscape, was intended, ‘to promote the resurgence of Belgium after the war’, (Marechal, Collectie Frank Brangwyn, 1987, p.189)
