Ro Keezer (1905-2003)

Rosa Sara (Ro) Keezer ( Amsterdam , 29 August 1905 - 20 March 2003 ) was a Dutch illustrator, book jacket designer and painter.  Ro Keezer married Judah Harrison on 9 December 1937 and then went to the then Dutch East Indies where she became a widow two years later. She designed illustrations for, among others, the publishers Noordhoff , HJ Paris, Mulder & Co, Valkhoff & Co, Joachimstal and FG Kroonder. She also worked as a book jacket designer. Ro made a separate book, Nederlandsche kleederdrachten and old poems (zj) for the fashion house Maison de Bonneterie, with 25 full-page illustrations.
