This circular woodcut, was inspired by Brangwyn's 9th Station, (Jesus falls for 3rd time ) in which Christ is portrayed in a similar profile portrait with long wavy hair set against a starburst backdrop. William de Belleroche assisted Brangwyn in the production of these woodcuts.
