Appointed an Official War Artist in WW2 Cundall was etremely prolific recording the activities of the Navy and Airforce in equal number. This study, for one of Cundall's WW2 compositions (as yet to be identified), shows a Royal Fleet Auxiliary oil tanker of the Wave class, built in the 1940s to supply warships with fuel.
