In 1954 Evelyn and Roger assembled all the Christmas cards they had put together between them since the first in 1942 in a loose-leaf folder. They planned to publish them as an album, but the project never came to anything. Evelyn added her own note to each one.

For 1947 she wrote ‘R. begins to pursue the economics of fruitgrowing’. This was in connection with Roger taking up a post at Oxford University Agricultural Research Institute.

We are grateful to Christopher Campbell-Howes for assistance.
