Dodd only worked rarely in a landscape format - this striking portrait is likely to be that of David Drummond Bone 2nd plate (CD 62) . The other portrait by Dodd in a landscape format is that of William Burton MA FCS (CD 93) 254 x 305 mm.  It has been suggested that this could be Muirhead's younger brother John.
