Henry Morley (1870 -1937)

Henry Morley was born in Nottingham, England on 29 December 1869 and studied at Nottingham School of Art and at the Academie Julian in Paris. He exhibited at Goupil Gallery and the International Society of Sculptors, Painters & Gravers in London; Nottingham Museum and Art Gallery; Manchester City Art Gallery; the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool; the Royal Scottish Academy and Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Water Colours in Edinburgh; and at the Paris Salon. Henry Morley lived for many years in Stirling, Scotland where he died on 19 July 1937. We are grateful to Chris Mees for his assistance.
