Provenance: Arthur Edward Mahoney,who died in January 1977. Richard Mahoney 2012; Private Collection


Horton's  lived at 11 Pond Cottages,Dulwich Village from 1931 to 1938. This painting belonged to Charles Mahoney's youngest brother. Mahoney and Horton lived near each other in South London - and worked together on the teaching staff of the Royal College of Art during WW2 in Ambleside.
