This study shows an early mark Short Sunderland flying boat. It's front turret is invisible because it could be winched back into the nose so as to leave the bows of the boat open in order that mooring procedure could be performed. RAF Hendon displays its own Sunderland in  the process of mooring up.

We are grateful to Andrew Cormack for assistance.
