of Fyffe Christie, 1918:1979, Sansom & Co, 2004

After Fyffe and Eleanor married in 1952 they rented a flat in Queen Margaret Drive and moved in 1953 around the corner to a first floor flat overlooking Botanic Gardens, with one large living /dining room/ studio, and one small bedroom adjoining, sharing a tiny kitchen and bathroom with the other tenants.  This is a view from the window - a record of a very happy three year period spent in the flat. At this time Fyffe started teaching and also worked on the Piping college mural and, with Walter Pritchard, the mural in St Francis in the East .

We are grateful to Eleanor Christie-Chatterley for assistance.
