Provenance: The Artist's Estate

In 1930 Adnams started attending life classes at Derby School of Art.  Her extra ordinary facility for drawing was much remarked upon, (one teacher remarking that she 'drew like a man, direct with no rubbing out, quoted by Ray Gosling, Marion Adnams, A Retrospective, Midland Group Gallery 1971).

We are grateful to Daniel A. Simon for his assistance.
